Education

Monika Fidanchevska earned her B.Sc. in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje in 2020. The research field of her Bachelor thesis was related to Influence of nano-Al2O3 on the properties and self-healing of cement products. She obtained “Engineering ring”- award to the most successful graduates in engineering disciplines in the Republic of North Macedonia, 2021. She also received from the same university, a Master´s degree of Science from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Mechanical Engineering-Modelling and simulation of plastic deformation. During her Master’s studies she conducted Erasmus+ at the Faculty of Polymer Technology in Slovenia. Her Master thesis was related to Development of prototype insulator based on epoxy resin-silica composite material. Additionally, during her studies she had international short research stays as an IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) intern at Warsaw University of Technology, researching 3D printing for bioscaffold design using manufactured and naturally derived polymers; and at Politecnico di Milano, she applied the methodology of self-healing on cement products.

Research

Monika is a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Radmila Tomovska. Her research is focused on 'Development of solid adsorbent fabricated for CO2 capture and sequestration, based on 3D graphene, polymers and polyMOF'.
