Education

Janire Aramberri Urbieta earned her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry by the University of the Basque Country (EHU) in 2024. Her Bachelor's Degree's Final Thesis was carried out in Polymerization Processes Group under the supervision of Dr. Aitor Barquero and Dr. Matias Luis Picchio, where she studied the implementation of Hydrophobic Eutectic Solvents (HESs) as green plasticizers for biobased acrylic polymers.

In 2025, she obtained a Master's Degree in Chemistry and Polymers from the EHU, with a specialization in polymers. For the Master's Final Thesis, she developed waterborne paints as Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling (PDRC) materials under the supervision of Dr. Aitor Barquero and Dr. Guido Goracci.

Apart from that, she did 2 internships in Polymerization Processes Group during summer in 2023 and 2024.

Honors and awards

She graduated from the Bachelor's Degree with a mention of excellence, and she also received an award for obtaining one of the best academic records in 2024 in the Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.

Research

Starting in September 2025, she is working on her PhD continuing the same project started during the Master's Thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Aitor Barquero and Dr. Guido Goracci.
