Advanced batteries
We develop new polymers for electrochemical energy storage such as lithium battery technologies, driving safer, more sustainable and more efficient solutions for energy storage.
We investigate the design of ion-conducting polymers and redox polymers aimed at lithium batteries and emerging technologies based on sodium, zinc, magnesium or calcium. A central part of our activity focuses on the development of solid polymer electrolytes for anodeless sodium batteries.
We also work on a new generation of polymeric binders that support more sustainable battery production and recycling. Furthermore, we explore the potential of redox polymers in emerging technologies such as redox-flow batteries and all-organic batteries.
