Polymers and energy

From the laboratory to the energy of the future.

At POLYMAT, we develop advanced polymeric materials to meet the energy challenges of the 21st century.
From polymers for batteries and hydrogen electrolyzers to photovoltaic devices and composites for wind turbines, our research contributes to the creation of cleaner, safer, and more efficient technologies.

The Polymers and Energy area investigates the design and synthesis of functional materials that transform energy and improve its storage.
Our work combines fundamental science with technological application, driving innovations in membranes for fuel cells, polymer electrolytes and redox polymers for batteries, and materials for photovoltaic optoelectronic devices.
