SUSTAINABILITY

Science that drives a sustainable future.

At POLYMAT, we integrate sustainability as an essential principle that guides our research and management.
We promote polymer science that is responsible to the environment, society, and the future of the planet.

Responsible innovation in polymer science

At POLYMAT we understand sustainability as a shared responsibility between science, society and the environment.

We work to develop recyclable, reusable polymeric materials from renewable sources, actively contributing to the circular economy and the reduction of the environmental footprint.

Our priority lines include improving synthesis processes through cleaner technologies, using non-toxic solvents, and creating polymer membranes for water and air purification.

We also promote innovative solutions for clean energy, chemical recycling of plastics and biodegradable biopolymers, addressing the major challenges of climate change and pollution.

Initiatives and achievements in sustainability and social responsibility

POLYMAT promotes projects and initiatives that reflect its commitment to sustainability, equality, and scientific excellence. These actions solidify the center’s position as an international leader in responsible innovation.
