Polymers for health

Smart materials for more advanced medicine.

At POLYMAT, we develop innovative polymeric materials aimed at improving diagnosis, therapy, and tissue regeneration.
From intelligent therapeutic systems to biomaterials and bioelectronics, our research lines drive advanced solutions to current medical challenges.

The Polymers for Health area integrates polymer chemistry, bioengineering, and materials science to design functional systems tailored to biomedical applications. We investigate stimulus-responsive polymers, protein-polymer hybrids, regenerative biomaterials, polymer capsules, hydrogels, eutectogels, and conductive materials for bioelectronics, combining fundamental research with biofabrication technologies and interdisciplinary collaboration in fields such as gene therapy, oncology, and regenerative medicine.
