The Advisory Board brings together world-renowned researchers who advise POLYMAT on its scientific strategy and contribute to strengthening the quality, innovation and international projection of its research.

Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany

Specialist in polymer synthesis and assembly and in interaction with biological matter.
He directs the Jena Center for Soft Matter and has been recognized with awards such as the Jan Pieter Lemstra Innovation Award and the ACS POLY Distinguished Service Award.

Prof. Marc Hillmyer

Prof. Marc Hillmyer

College of Science and Engineering, University of Minessota, EEUU.

He is a professor at the University of Minnesota and directs the Center for Sustainable Polymers. An expert in environmentally friendly materials and editor of Macromolecules, he has received awards for his work in the design and synthesis of advanced polymers.

KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden

Director of the Wallenberg Wood Science Center, a pioneer in dendritic polymers and sustainable cellulose-based materials.
Recipient of the Chemistry in Sweden Leader Award (2023 and 2024).

Prof. Sebastian Lecommandeux

Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques, Francia

He is a professor at Bordeaux INP and director of the LCPO, leading research on bioinspired polymers for nanomedicine and biomaterials. Awarded the CNRS Silver Medal and co-founder of Doxanano, he is known for his technological innovation in drug delivery systems and self-assembly.

Dr. Oihana Elizalde

POLYMAT

She holds a PhD from POLYMAT and is a leading expert in sustainable materials. After managing departments at BASF, she assumed leadership of P2 Science in 2023, where she drives renewable polymers. Her career is distinguished by its combination of technical rigor, green chemistry, and global commercial leadership.
