Education

Fotios Panagiotou obtained his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Patras in 2022. In his final years, he chose subjects related to polymer and material chemistry and joined the Advanced Polymers & Hybrid Nanomaterials Research Laboratory (AP&HNRL), where he completed his thesis. He continued his research at the same laboratory for his Master's studies, graduating in 2025. His M.Sc. specialization was in the "Chemistry and Technology of Materials with Applications to Industry, Energy and Environment".

Research

During his B.Sc. thesis, he investigated the development of composite coatings for Kevlar fabrics in order to improve their anti-stabbing abilities. In his Master's program, he focused on the development of thin-film composite nanofiltration membranes for water-based separations. Currently, he is a PhD student at Polymat, where he studies the synthesis and characterization of polymers for applications in batteries and fuel-cells.
