Education

Alice passed her two years intensive program to prepare the entrance into a Graduate School of Chemistry Engineering in 2020 at l’Ecole National Supérieur de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR), (Bachelor equivalence) (France). There, she started studing chemistry engineering at SIGMA Clermont (Clermont-Ferrand, France) where she specialized in high performance materials. She obtained her M.Sc. in Chemistry engineering in November 2023.

She also followed master 2 classes in chemistry at l’Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA, Clermont-Ferrand, France) and obtained a M.Sc. in Functional Materials Chemistry in 2023.

During her bachelor studies Alice worked in Eurofins Hydrology Normandy (Caen, France) where she Analyzed sewage and drinkable Water and sampled on field.

During her master studies, she studied and analyzed photochemical aging and thermal aging of PE/PES composites.

In 2022, Alice worked as a research assistant on the synthesis of PE-like materials and their 3D printing in Stefan Mecking’s_Research Group (Konstanz Universität, Germany).

She also was a polymer scientist for Boydston Chemical Innovations (BCI) (Seattle, WA, USA), in 2023, where she synthesized cost effective DCPD copolymers using metal-free ROMP and developed a large-scale flow reactor to optimize the production.

Research

Alice is currently a PhD student under the guidance of Dr. Haritz Sardon (EHU/UPV) in collaboration with Wacker Chemie. Her research topic is focused on the exploration of different routes to allow the fabrication of waterborne degrable polymeric dispersions with tunable properties.
