Education

Juan Torres Rodríguez earned his chemistry and material engineering double degree from the University of Seville in June of 2021. During her BSC, he studied for six months abroad in the ERASMUS program at Pardubice University, Czech Republic. In 2022 he obtained a Master in Chemistry and Polymers from the University of the Basque Country obtaining a specialization in the polymer. During their master thesis, he worked on the synthesis and characterization of biodegradable isodimorphic copolymers under the supervision of Dr. Alejandro Muller and Dr. Agurtzane Mugica. 

Research

He obtained a Jae Ifromro grant from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) focused on photoluminescence nanoparticles with different applications.

Currently, he is doing his Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Alejandro Muller and Dr. Agurtzane Mugica. His research topic is focused on the synthesis and characterization of new isodimorphic copolymers and the study of the variation of their mechanical properties and biodegradability with composition.
