Estefano Giuzio
Estefano Giuzio obtained his degree in Chemical Engineering (2025) at the National Technological University (UTN) of Villa María (Córdoba, Argentina). During his thesis, he studied the production process of sulfonated poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) as an ion exchange resin, under the direction of Mg. Ing. Ruben Baccifava (UTN) and Ing. Luciano Cesarini (UTN).
Currently, he is a PhD student at POLYMAT under the supervision of Dr. Matías Luis Picchio, focusing on the development of polyphenol-based eutectogels for biomedical applications. As part of his research, he is acquiring extensive practical experience in the execution and analysis of a broad range of advanced characterization techniques. His expertise includes structural characterization via Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), morphological analysis (SEM), mechanical testing (tensile/compression), and thermal analysis (TGA and DSC). Furthermore, his training encompasses the evaluation of key biological properties, including cytotoxicity, antibacterial performance, anti-inflammatory activity, and ROS scavenging capacity.
