Students from CIPF Don Bosco and La Salle Donostia discover polymer science in POLYMAT labs

On 28 October, around 50 students from CIPF Don Bosco and La Salle Donostia visited POLYMAT laboratories as part of the school lab tours that POLYMAT organises together with the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of the Basque Country (EHU).

Guided by POLYMAT researchers, the students learned how polymers are synthesised, processed and characterised, and saw some of the equipment used in the labs, such as extruders, injection moulding machines and mechanical testing instruments.

These lab tours are open to secondary school, Bachillerato and Vocational Training students and will continue throughout the 2026–27 academic year.
