Prof. Radmila Tomovska
Radmila Tomovska finished the chemical engineering studies in 1990 at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University St Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, Macedonia. Almost 10 years, she worked in the area of liquid- liquid extraction and reactive solvent extraction. In this period she finished her master and doctoral studies and got her PhD in 1999. Part of the PhD experimental work was done trough the several stays as a fellow in the Extraction Laboratory, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague. During the postgraduate and doctoral studies, in continuation she was under fellowships from Macedonian Government. Since 2001 she obtained NATO postdoc fellowship and started to work in Laboratory of Laser Chemistry, Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals, Prague, Czech Republic in a new field: UV and IR lasers induced chemical reaction in gas phases, chemical vapor deposition of novel nano sized materials, polymers, copolymers. She was engage in the preparation of the organosilicon, organotin, organoselenium, organogermanium and organothiene materials. Between 2005 and 2009 she worked as Assistant professor at the University of St Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, Macedonia.
Fellowship for postgraduated studies, Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Macedonia
Fellowship for doctoral studies, Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Macedonia
Postdoc NATO Fellowship
Since beginning of 2009 Radmila Tomovska has got a position of Ikerbasque researcher professor at the POLYMAT Institute, University of the Basque Country. As a part of the research group of Prof. Asua, she is engaged in the investigation in the area of photopolymerization in dispersed media and preparation of new polymer composite materials with wide possibilities of application. Besides, she is working in application of photoinduced techniques for surface modification of polymers and inorganic nanoparticles, and in photocatalysis.
