Irati Celada
Irati Celada completed her BSc in Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country (EHU) in July 2023, where she carried out her Bachelor’s Thesis under the supervision of Prof. José Luis Vicario and Prof. Liher Prieto, focusing on the synthesis of 3,3-disubstituted-1-arylcyclobutylamines. In 2024, she obtained her MSc in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry from the same university. As part of her Master’s Thesis, she spent six months at the University of Bologna, Italy, working under the guidance of Prof. Luca Bernardi on the catalytic enantioselective three-component reaction of sulfoxonium ylides, thiols, and aldehydes.
In 2025, Irati Celada has been working at VITO TM in Belgium under the supervision of Dr. Marc Comi, focusing on epoxy resins and polymeric materials. At POLYMAT, under the supervision of Prof. Haritz Sardon Muguruza and Dr. Fernando Vidal Peña, Irati will focus on chemical recycling and sustainable polymers to advance the circular economy, as part of the Ramón y Cajal project fellowship led by Dr. Vidal.
