Idoia Azaldegui

With over twenty years of executive leadership experience spanning multinational corporations, professional associations, and foundational organizations, she has served as the General Manager of POLYMAT since 2011. She holds an M.B.A. from Suffolk University (Boston), a Law Degree from the University of the Basque Country, and advanced certifications in Executive Leadership from ESADE Business School and Sustainability Board Governance from AFI Business School. Throughout her career, she has overseen core operational processes, economic and fiscal management, strategic communications, compliance, gender equality initiatives, and R&D center resources. Her leadership is further highlighted by her positions on the Board of Directors of startups POLIMERBIO S.L. and POLYKEY S.L., her role as a European Commission HR Excellence in Research Assessor, and her membership on the Social Council of the University of the Basque Country - achievements recognized by the 2020 ASPEGI Executive Award and the 2024 Gipuzkoa Provincial Council Women and Sustainability in the Circular Economy Award.
