Alba Gonda Lazkano
Alba Gonda Lazkano earned her B.Sc in Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in September 2021. During her bachelor, she spent one year (2019-2020) as an Erasmus student at the University of Oulu, Finland where she researched on water and wastewater treatments. As her bachelor’s final project, she worked in the group of NanoBioSeparations in Polymat studying stimuli-responsive membranes.
She got two M.Sc in Polymer Science in June 2022 from the University of Science and Technology in the Basque Country and the Université de Bordeaux, obtaining a specialization in polymers. In her master’s final project, she worked on hydrogels for controlled drug delivery in Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques (LCPO), Bordeaux, France in the team polymer self-assembly and life sciences.
Since October 2022, she is doing her PhD in Polymat under the supervision of Prof. Radmila Tomovska. Her research project is part of the IMMENSE M-ERA.NET European project and it is focused on the development of novel, biobased and biodegradable polymers for their application in fuel cells.
