Oihane Varela
Oihane Varela Manrique obtained her BSc in Chemistry in March 2022 from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), where she worked under the supervision of Dr. Haritz Sardon to carry out her final project in the development of polythiourethane based resins for 3D printing applications using Photobase Generators.
She did the Master's Degree in Chemistry and Polymers in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) obtaining the specialization in polymers in 2023.
During her master thesis, she worked on the use of vegetable oils as sustainable inks for DLP printing based on thiol-Michael and thiol-epoxy dual curing under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Eva Blasco and Dr. Haritz Sardon at the Institute for Molecular Systems Engineering and Advanced Materials (University of Heidelberg) (Heidelberg, Germany).
Currently, she is carrying out her PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Haritz Sardon and Dr. Xabier Lopez de Pariza, focused on the development of novel photocatalysts and circular resins for light-based additive manufacturing applications.
