Dr. Aitor Barquero Salaberria
Aitor Barquero graduated in Chemistry from the UPV/EHU (2014) and obtained his PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the UPV/EHU in 2019. In January 2020, he started working as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Polymerization Processes in Polymat. Since September 2023, he is assistant professor in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
Dr. Barquero is working on different topics, all of them related with the synthesis of polymers in waterborne media, particularly by emulsion polymerization. He studies the use of bio-based monomers, synthesis of degradable polymers by free radical polymerization, and superplasticizers for cementitious materials
