On June 18, the latest IkerShARE Managers and HR meeting was held at CIC EnergiGUNE. Promoted by Ikerbasque, this initiative brings together management teams from various Basque research centers (CICs, BERCs, and IISs) to exchange best practices and coordinate scientific management strategies across the region.

Idoia Azaldegui, General Manager of Polymat, attended the event and participated in a panel focused on the implementation of institutional Wellbeing Plans. During this session, the current procedures and organizational experiences of Polymat were presented, alongside those of BCBL, CIC biomaGUNE, and the EHU.

The broader objective of the meeting was to align administrative frameworks and address shared challenges in research management. In addition to workplace wellbeing, the agenda covered several core operational topics, including Open Access publishing strategies, human resources regulations, mental health in research, and compliance with transparency legislation. The gathering concluded with a networking session and a tour of the host facilities, further integrating the management community within the Basque science network.
