REMAP Project Kick-off in San Sebastián
On 12 March 2026, the partners of the REMAP project (POCTEFA) convened in San Sebastián to officially launch the initiative and align on its initial activities.
REMAP (Sustainable Refinement of Polymerization Processes through Machine Learning) brings together a cross-border consortium aimed at advancing sustainable polymer production through data-driven methodologies and machine learning approaches.
The consortium comprises POLYMAT (coordinator), ARKEMA, POLYKEY, and UPPA.
During the meeting, the partners reviewed the overall project structure, governance and management framework, communication strategy, and the scientific plan for the first year. Key research lines include the development of bio-based monomers and polymers, as well as the application of machine learning models to optimize polymerization processes. Coordination mechanisms across work packages were also established to ensure effective collaboration.
This kick-off meeting marks the beginning of a collaborative effort focused on promoting sustainability, fostering innovation, and enhancing industrial impact in the field of polymer science.
Further updates on the progress of REMAP will be shared in due course.
