Marcelo Calderón and Matías Picchio Win the 2024 Manuel Laborde Werlinden Prize
Polymat researchers Marcelo Calderón and Matías Picchio have been recognized with the prestigious 2024 Manuel Laborde Werlinden Prize in the New Innovative Initiative category for their groundbreaking project EutectoDerm.
This innovative initiative develops biobased eutectic solvents for antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory topical treatments, offering significant advancements in wound healing and skincare. The project was praised for its strong value proposition and the leadership of its entrepreneurial team.
The prize includes a financial award of €7,000 and advisory support from BIC Gipuzkoa to advance the project’s development.
