Marcelo Calderón, a researcher at POLYMAT, has been awarded a prestigious Leonardo Grant by the BBVA Foundation. This grant, in the area of Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), is part of the 2024 call and supports Calderón's project titled Therapeutic Dry Supramolecular Bioadhesives for Tissue Repair.

The selection process for the Leonardo Grants was highly competitive, with 1,392 applicants across ten fields, including 186 in Basic Sciences. The evaluation was conducted by an independent commission of renowned experts who applied the highest standards in their respective fields.
