The Work of PhD Student Adrian Badia on Biobased Adhesives highlighted on C&EN

The work of POLYMAT researchers Mr. Adrian Badia, Dr. Amaia Agirre and Profs. Jose Ramón Leiza and M. Jesús Barandiaran has been highlighted on the weekly magazine C&EN (Chemical and Engineering News) published by The American Chemical Society.
The team of researchers have developed novel waterborne pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) with biobased contents up to 71% and UV-light-tunable features, using piperonyl methacrylate (PIPEMA) as a hard monomer. This new adhesive development minimizes volatile organic compounds, enhances the overall safety of the process and reduces costs.
