POLYMAT researchers Alejandro J. Müller and David Mecerreyes delivered plenary lectures at SLAP 2026, held in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, from 19 to 23 October 2026.
The event combined the XIX Latin American Symposium on Polymers and the XVII Ibero-American Congress on Polymers, bringing together the polymer science community to discuss research, technology and innovation.
Müller presented “Crystallization as a design tool in semicrystalline block and random copolymers”, while Mecerreyes delivered “Design of ionic polymers for applications in batteries”. Their plenary lectures addressed two complementary topics: the role of crystallization in copolymer design and the development of ionic polymers for battery applications.
Organised by the Brazilian Polymer Association (ABPol), the meeting provided a forum for scientific exchange across the Ibero-American polymer research community.
