Alongside Dr. Merino, the 2026 edition also recognized Elena Palomo for her scientific career trajectory and María Muñoz Caffarel for her scientific leadership.
According to Ikerbasque, the selection process included a bibliometric analysis of scientific production and recent research contributions from women researchers in Euskadi. The evaluation committee emphasized the exceptionally high scientific level represented across all categories, reflecting the strength and potential of research led by women scientists in the region.
At POLYMAT, we warmly congratulate Dr. Danila Merino on this recognition and celebrate her contribution to advancing scientific excellence and innovation.
