Passion Txiki: science through play

From 2 to 4 October 2026, Passion Txiki brought science closer to children and families as part of the Passion for Knowledge festival. Co-organised by POLYMAT, the Materials Physics Center (CFM) and nanoGUNE, the programme featured nine activities with 200 participants aged 4 to 12.

The Sala Club at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and Tabakalera hosted workshops, storytelling and experiments led by Mad Science, Elhuyar, NorArte and Aranzadi. The activities encouraged children to explore, ask questions and experiment through play.

Across the three days, families shared hands-on experiences that connected science with curiosity, creativity and discovery.
