Education

Justine studied Physics and Chemistry at the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour (France), and obtained her Bachelor's degree after studying at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) as an Erasmus student.  She graduated from the Sorbonne University (France) with a Master's degree in Material Chemistry in July 2018.

In 2017, she participated in the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program and worked on the synthesis and characterization of stimuli-responsive single-chain nanoparticles with the Sumerlin Research Group at the University of Florida (USA), under the supervision of Prof. Brent Sumerlin and Georg Scheutz.

She did her master project in 2018 with the Polymer Chemistry Team of the "Institut Parisien de Chimie Moléculaire" at Sorbonne University. The project, entitled "Synthesis of new polymers by PISA", was performed under the supervision of Dr. François Stoffelbach, Dr. Jutta Rieger and Gaëlle Mellot.

Research

Since September 2018, she started her PhD Fellowship in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network on Thiol-ene Miniemulsion Photopolymerisation at POLYMAT under the supervision of Prof. Radmila Tomovska. Her research is focused on the synthesis of polysulfide latex with controlled architectures, to develop and characterize novel barrier films.
