Registration Open: Workshop on Emulsion Polymerization Processes (Sep 7-11, 2026)

POLYMAT and the University of the Basque Country (EHU) are pleased to announce that registration is officially open for the upcoming Workshop on Emulsion Polymerization ProcessesThe five-day event will take place from September 7 to 11, 2026, at the Joxe Mari Korta Center, located on the EHU Campus in Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain.

Designed specifically for scientists and engineers from both academia and industry , this intensive workshop focuses on deepening the understanding of the fundamental scientific basis of emulsion polymerizationBecause emulsion polymers are inherently "products by process" materials , the program emphasizes how to utilize foundational knowledge to manipulate reaction conditions for the consistent production of improved polymeric materials.

The comprehensive academic program transitions from core principles to advanced research topics through a series of specialized lectures and seminars. Attendees will engage in an in-depth analysis of fundamental mechanisms, exploring the kinetics of emulsion polymerization , particle nucleation , and colloidal stabilityThe curriculum also delves into reactor engineering and control, offering a comprehensive study of emulsion polymerization reactors , process scale-up, safety parameters , and on-line monitoring techniquesAdditionally, the workshop addresses advanced applications and characterization, including latex rheology and the film formation of waterborne coatingsEmerging trends and advanced research topics will also be highlighted, featuring dedicated sessions on Controlled/Living Radical Polymerizations (CFRP) in dispersed media , biobased and degradable waterborne polymers , and a comprehensive industrial perspective on the field.

Registration is now open, with the deadline for early registration set for July 31, 2026For complete details regarding the program, accommodation options, and to submit your online registration, please visit our official website: http://www.ehu.eus/en/web/polymat/epp-workshopFor further inquiries, please contact us at eppworkshop@ehu.es.
