Two researchers from POLYMAT have been honored as new Enbaxadore at of the Donostia Convention Bureau’s prestigious programme recognising professionals who contribute to attracting scientific and professional events to the city.

Dr. Clara García Astrain, specialising in functional polymers for biosensing applications, was named an Enbaxadore for her role in organising the XLVII International Conference of the Iberian Society of Biomechanics and Biomaterials (SIBB 2025) held in Donostia.

Prof. Haritz Sardón Muguruza was also recognised for his efforts in organising the 1st Conference Series on Additive Manufacturing of Soft Materials (3DAM 2025), further strengthening the city’s reputation as a destination for innovation and scientific meetings.

The Enbaxadore programme, promoted by Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa and the Kursaal Society, highlights the contribution of leading professionals whose work helps position Donostia-San Sebastián as an international hub for conferences and events across scientific and technological fields.
