POLYMAT researchers receive more than 89.000€ from Gipuzkoa'a Provincial Council to research on Cancer

The Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa has published the results of the funding program 'Research in Severe Diseases' and has selected the project “Smart nano-vehicles for the treatment of glioblastoma. Development of new materials and cell models ”, presented by BERC POLYMAT. The funding agent has allocated 89,013 euros for the project development. This regional program aims to support centers that carry out research in the field of severe diseases, in projects and investments in equipment and infrastructures that serve to advance in the fight against this type of ailments.

The resesarch team is composed by six researchers from POLYMAT and UPV/EHU: Dr. Ana Beloqui (project leader), Dr. Aitor Larrañaga (project leader), Prof. Jose Ramon Sarasua, Prof. Marcelo Calderon, Dr. Sandra Camarero and Dr. Jone Muñoz.
