Marc Frederic Malter obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Université de Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse (France) and the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität (ALU) in Freiburg (Germany) in 2021. In this interdisciplinary program which combines both scientific and intercultural competencies, he spent his first year in Mulhouse and the second and third year in Freiburg. During his Bachelor’s final project, he worked on silica-containing biocomposites under the supervision of Prof. Shastri at the Institute for Macromolecular Chemistry (Freiburg).
In June 2023, he obtained his double Master of Science degree (Double Master in Polymer Science, DMiPS) from the Université de Bordeaux (France) and the University of the Basque Country (EHU) in Donostia-San Sebastián (Spain) specializing in polymer science. During his Master’s final project, he worked on novel polymeric laser materials under the supervision of Dr. Lydia Sosa Vargas and Dr. Fabrice Mathevet at the Institut Parisien de Chimie moléculaire (IPCM) in Paris.
Since September 2023, Marc Frederic Malter has currently doing his PhD project under the supervision of Prof. María Paulis and Dr. Nerea Casado and in collaboration with tesa, Germany. His research focuses on the development of waterborne pressure-sensitive adhesives and PFAS-free dry coating of battery electrodes.
