Temiloluwa Emmanuel Amoo
Temiloluwa Amoo received his bachelor’s degree in July 2018 in Chemical Engineering from Covenant University, Nigeria.
In January 2023, he was awarded his master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Covenant University also.
He joined POLYMAT for his Ph.D. in July 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas Ballard.
Temiloluwa Amoo worked with the water research team at Kings University Ode Omu, Nigeria. He did kinetics, equilibrium, thermodynamic, and adsorbent characterization studies on synthesized biosorbents for heavy metal removal from wastewater.
His master’s thesis focused on the application of computational fluid dynamics to determine the relationship between the risk of stroke and blood pressure in a human carotid artery model. He did an internship with Dow Chemical, Spain where he worked with the technical service and product development team on the development of next generation fire-retardant composite panels for infrastructural applications.
He is currently working under a Marie Slodowska-Curie PhD grant, under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas Ballard on the application of machine learning for predicting the mechanical behavior of composite polymeric latexes based on their structural characteristics.
