Education

Daniela de Morais Zanata earned her B.Sc. in Chemistry (2015) from the University of Sao Paulo, Brasil. She studied hybrid composites based on epoxy resin and inorganic nanofillers, under the supervision of Prof. Marcia Cristina Branciforti. In 2014, she did an internship in the Research and Innovation Center of Solvay in Paulinia (Brasil) to study the properties of composites based on natural rubber and silicon particles.

Her master`s dissertation (”Hybrid gels of cellulose nanocrystals and polysilsesquioxane”), supervised by Professor Maria do Carmo Gonçalves at the University of Campinas (Unicamp, Brasil), was about developing a free-standing gel based on cellulose nanocrystals and polysilsesquioxane.

In December 2021, she defended her Ph.D. Thesis, entitled "Temperature and pH-responsive triblock copolymers: synthesis and solution properties" in the Polymer Research Group (Unicamp, Brasil), under the supervision of Professor Maria Isabel Felisberti. Her Ph.D. research focused on developing block copolymers for biomedical applications.

Research

Since February 2021, she works as a post-doctoral researcher in the Hybrid Materials for Energy Group headed by Dr. Irune Villaluenga studying the synthesis of block copolymers for battery applications.
