Education

In 2022 I finished my chemistry degree at the university of the basque country (UPV/EHU). I did my bachelor's final project at TECNALIA; it was based on the development of coatings based on the sol-gel technique, cured using ultraviolet light. Subsequently, I specialised after completing the master's degree in chemistry and polymers at the faculty of chemistry in San Sebastian in 2023, carrying out my master's degree final project at TECNALIA. The master's thesis was done on the obtention of omniphobic sol-gel based coatings. In 2023 I got the global training grant to work for 6 months in Khalifa University (United Arab Emirates) under the supervision of Dr. Blaise L.Tardy. During this period, I was working on the obtention of cellulose nanofibers from gulf biowaste, mostly from date palm waste.

Research

In September 2024 I started working on SusBioComp group under the supervision of Dra. Danila Merino. Actually I am working on the obtention of bioplastics from biowaste in order to use them for food packaging applications.
