Education
Physics degree from the Complutense University of Madrid from 2011 to 2015. Master degree in High specialization in polymers and rubber from the International University Menéndez Pelayo from 2016 to 2017, imparted at the Institute of Science and Technology of Polymers of Madrid. I have been working from 2016 to 2019 at the Institute of Structure of Matter, from the Spanish National Research Council, in Madrid, where I received experience and knowledge on the science and current technology of polymers, specifically on the field of conjugated and ferroelectric polymers.
Research
My research has been focused on the nanostructuring of polymeric systems with functional properties like electrical conductivity and ferroelectricity that are currently investigated due to their potential applications on organic electronic devices. I have specialized in several nanostructuring techniques such as irradiation with pulsed lasers, nanoimprint lithography and fabrication of polymeric nanoparticles. In parallel, I received plenty of experience on the main characterization techniques of polymeric materials: dynamic and calorimetric techniques as dielectric spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry, morphological and functional characterization techniques as multimode atomic force microscopy (tapping mode, conductive-AFM, piezoresponse mode and nanomechanical mode), and optical and structural analysis techniques, especially on X-ray experiments using synchrotron light. During these years, this work has generated six published scientific articles in high-ranked journals, with other two submitted papers, and my doctoral thesis Nanostructuring of soft matter for organic electronics. Apart from the topics developed in my thesis, I have collaborated with other scientists from other Spanish or international institutions on the nanostructuring and structural characterization of different aromatic polyesters, block copolymers, small semiconducting molecules, together with the manufacturing and consequent characterization of polymers deposited by inkjet printing, electrospray deposition and 3D printing.
