Silvia Valero received her B. Sc. in Chemistry in 2012 from the University of Murcia. From September 2012 to December 2013 she was working in the Organic Chemistry Department at the same University in a research Project for acquiring a Bachelor Thesis.

The work carried out included multistep organic synthesis of rotaxanes with potential application in Material Sciences. Since July 2014 she worked in the Inorganic Chemistry Department at the University of Alicante where she was focused on the synthesis of a wide range of inorganic materials.

She  did  a  research  stage (February to June 2015)  at  the  Friedrich  Alexander University  of   Erlangen-Nuremberg   (Germany)   in   the   Cluster   of   Excellence Engineering of  Advanced Materials, where she worked in the field of new hybrid materials and their utilization in photovoltaic devices, specifically in dye sensitized solar cells.

Currently, she is doing her PhD at POLYMAT, Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering supervised by Dr. Juan Luis Delgado and Dr. Aurelio Mateo Alonso.
