Education

Sara Marina Barbier received her B. Sc in Chemistry by the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), in 2016. In March 2015, she obtained an ERASMUS+ fellowship to develop her Graduate Thesis in the Laboratory of Catalysis from the University of Liège (ULG) under the supervision of Dr. Tomas F. Beltran and Prof. Lionel Delaude. During the bachelor project she focused on the preparation and fully characterization, of a new family of mono- and binuclear complexes based on manganese bearing imidazol(in)ium-2-dithiocarboxylate zwitterionic ligands.

After her bachelor she did an internship in VISCOFAN S.A. (Cáseda, Navarra), world leader in casings for meat products, where she temporarily held the position of Quality Control Technician.

Research

In September 2017 she earned her Master´s degree in Chemistry and Polymers with specialization in polymeric materials from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). Her master thesis work was carried out in POLYMAT under supervision of Dr. Ana B. Sanchez-Sanchez and Prof. David Mecerreyes. During the research project she developed and characterized new electroactive macromonomers and multi-responsive graft copolymers of EDOT for bioelectronic applications.
