From May 2013 to May 2014 he worked at Ca' Foscari University on the synthesis of modified paracyclophanes for CVD coating application, in collaboration with an industrial partner. From June 2014 to May 2015 he studied the synthesis and the formulation of polymeric admixtures for the construction field at BASF Construction Chemicals Italia.

Since June 2015 he has been working on the use of alkali-soluble resins in emulsion polymerization for the production of non-leaching coatings. The research is carried out within the TRACKWAY European project, under the joint supervision of Prof. Maria J. Barandiaran from UPV/EHU and Dr. Roelof Balk from BASF SE.
