Education

Iranzu Barbarin earned her B. Sc in Chemistry by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2016. From August 2012 to June 2013, she was a student in the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

During 2016-2017 she did the Master in Applied Chemistry and Polymeric Materials in the University of Basque Country (UPV/EHU) obtaining the specialization in polymers. Her thesis work was focused on modified alkali-soluble resin as a surfactant in emulsion polymerization under the supervision of Prof. María Jesús Barandiaran.

She joined POLYMAT in July 2018 as part of a project from the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness of Spain, being recipient of the F.P.I. fellowship.

Research

Since July 2018, she is doing her PhD in POLYMAT under the supervision of Prof. Radmila Tomovska. The project is focused on the development of self-assembly 3D graphene-based polymer materials for CO2 capture and conversion.
