Idoia Arandia received her BS in Chemistry from the University of Basque Country in 2013 and the MS in Applied Chemistry and Polymeric Materials in 2014.

She worked a couple of months in the laboratory of Thermal Analysis at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of the Basque Country in San Sebastián working on Effects of the addition of halloysite nanotubes in thermal and hydrolytic degradation of Poly(L-lactic acid)(PLLA), with a Collaboration Grant awarded by the Basque Government.

Granted with the Erasmus scholarship in 2012, she carried a research project on Homochiral BINOL-based macrocycles at Universita´Degli Studi di Pavia (Italy).


Currently, she is doing her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Alejandro Müller and her research has been focused in the study of the structure and crystallization of biodegradable isodimorphic copolyesters.
