Education

Gordana Siljanovska Petreska earned her B.S in Basic Organic and Polymer Engineering at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University St. Cyril and Methodius (Skopje, R. Macedonia) in 2009.

For her bachelor thesis she worked on biodegradable poly(L-lactic acid)/TiO2 nanocomposites. She earned her M.S in New Materials Polymer at the same University in 2015.

Her master thesis was focused on laser ablation of polymer/graphene nanocomposites using IR CO2 laser. During her master studies she worked as an early stage researcher within NATO Science for Peace Project: Novel Sensors Based on Laser Ablated Graphene in collaboration with two international institutes.

She spent six months researching and training at the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals AS CR – Prague, Czech Republic, and at the Joxe Mari Korta Center, Institute for Polymer Materials, POLYMAT in San Sebastian, Spain.

Research

Since September 2015 she is  a recipient of the Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher and Horizon 2020 fellowships and is doing her PhD within the TRACKWAY project under the supervision of Dr. Maria Paulis from POLYMAT and Dr. Clemens from BASF. Her research is focused on temperature responsive adhesives.
