A paper by Dr. Nicholas Ballard and Prof. José M. Asua selected as ACS Editors´ Choice article

The paper 'Can We Push Rapid Reversible Deactivation Radical Polymerizations toward Immortality?' by POLYMAT researchers Dr. N. Ballard and Prof José M. Asua published in ACS Macro Letters has been selected as the ACS Editors’ Choice article. The paper shows that, contrary to the predictions of classical reaction kinetics, radical termination reactions can be substantially reduced in reversible deactivation radical polymerizations (RDRPs). This questions the commonly held assumptions of the limitations of RDRP processes and suggests the ability for a seemingly impossible level of control of radical reactions.
